15 Years in the Books for CPB Canada
Share on:
After a busy year, the holiday season is upon us. It feels like a good time to wrap up and put a bow on one of our most successful years as a community and a professional association.
2022 marked our 15th anniversary. It reminded us of how far we have come and how far we have yet to go. We are confident that the future is bright and sustainable where CPB Canada can continue to offer you value while elevating the voice and standards for the bookkeeping profession.
We reflect on many achievements from this year and look forward to building on them in the year ahead.
Our Community Grows
We worked hard to deliver an asset purchase of the Canadian Institute of Bookkeeping (CIB). The effort resulted in nearly 300 CIB members being welcomed into our community, with many carrying the CB, CPB certification.
Continuously Improving
CPB Canada’s governance review will modernize how we operate and govern ourselves for years to come. Members will see the benefits of a more transparent and effective approach for your professional association.
Reuniting at IGNITE
It was terrific to meet so many in Calgary for our largest annual conference. We were proud to make it more inclusive and accessible this year with a hybrid option that saw an additional 170 participants joining virtually from across Canada. See you in Toronto next year!
The list of accomplishments does not stop there! Creating NUMBERS & SENSE magazine, a range of new professional development programming, entering new strategic partnerships, and having many more members become certified are all exciting outcomes from 2022.
This success doesn’t happen in isolation. I must also thank the CPB Canada Board of Directors and my staff for all their tireless work this year. Everyone went above and beyond for our membership.
Finally, I want to thank members who continue to unite, elevate the profession, and recognize our collective strength. We thank you for your support and hope to do you proud in 2023.
