You know those kids in school who often had their hands up, excited to ask or answer a question? That was Marnie. Always eager to learn, she taught herself QuickBooks in the early 90’s when she lived in California and made a career out of it. Fast forward to the present where she’s now a proud member of the Intuit Trainer Writer Network, holds several Intuit and app partner certifications, and loves teaching others.
Marnie is a dual citizen who splits her time between Alberta, Quebec – and conferences. She has her own remote bookkeeping and advisory practice and is a former instructor at NAIT and Mohawk College. Students and customers love Marnie's energetic teaching style, impressive QuickBooks knowledge, and modern approach to bookkeeping. She was named an Insightful Accountant 2019 Top 100 ProAdvisor as well as a Top Ten 2018 Influencer in the Canadian Bookkeeping World. She's very proud of her CPB designation and is entering her second year as a CPB Canada board member.
Marnie has a wicked-smart son who is in his first year of science at MacEwan University. In the summer, she likes to kayak in the Rocky Mountains or ride around town on her Vespa alongside her fiancé, who is teaching her French – by far one of the most challenging things she’s ever tried to learn!
